I have a new rule. TRY EVERYTHING ON in the store. No more returns because "I'll just try it on when I get home"!
So yes, even in Superstore I take the time to try it on. This time I took pics.
I went with the Black Silk short sleeve blouse which is longer in the back. Will wear with short shorts. And this white linen shirt. It is really soft and will go great with shorts too!

OMG! I can't believe I did it. I cannot wait to wear these.
No, it is not two pieces - it is just a lil' ol' pair of jeans except from the upper thigh down they are the thinnest, awesome-est leather.
I am dying to post you pics of me in them...
I bought them from TNT in Toronto, but ham waiting for UPS to ship them...patiently...I seriously check the tracking number every couple of hours.

Offshores Splurge
Got some great items from Offshores last week.
I saw this gorgeous girl in Maui over the winter wearing the most beautiful tie dye maxi swimsuit cover-ups. I later found out that she was Delta Goorem (host on The Voice - Australia).
So when I saw this one by Michelle Jonas at the Offshores Grand Opening fashion show I immediately thought I could channel her by buying this cover up...yes that is how my mind works...scary.
Anyway it also reminded me of an Isabel Marant dress that I never got and always wish I had (below).
Then I also grabbed this black one by OndadeMar. I loved it because it is short but still covers my bum!
And then my eye caught these sunglasses. I flipped thru my mental catalog of my trip to the Barney's sunglass department and recognized some serious similarities between Offshore's knockoffs and The Row and Celine shades!
One the left are Celine, the right are The Row.
Below are the ones from Offshores. I got black and tortoise shell.
Close call right? Designer ones range from $450-$600 & mine were just $26.00 baby.
I also could not resist topping off my purchases with a Bracelet by Ettika
And some children's swim trunks by Vilebrequin.

Kevin Murphy Hair Curlers at Blunt Salon
For all the clothes and accessories on VANITETOWN I think I really am a hair girl at heart. I have up to twelve bottles of shampoo in my shower, a million hair elastics, dry shampoos, shiners, oils, masks...anything for someone to tell me I have nice hair. Biggest compliment ever! Just how some people like the natural look for make-up, I like the natural look for hair. So although I have all the products, I don't overdo it on tools.
But sometimes something comes around that really grabs me. These Kevin Murphy hair curlers are unlike anything else. You use them after you curl your hair!?!?
Ya, seems counterproductive - but they take that perfect curling iron curl and relax it to the perfect curl that I want. Loose, sexy, natural looking.
My girlfriend recently bought her own set and said that she never got so many compliments on her hair ever after using them (true story you know who you are). There is no other envy like hair envy...
I have both sizes, small & large (*hint: so many rollers in the large set you could split with a friend).

WCFW in review
WCFW was yet again a classy affair, run smoothly by all the volunteers and well attended by fashionable Edmontonians.
One of the highlights was the NYC based designer Angelique Chmielewski. Originally from Edmonton, she moved to NYC to study fashion at FIT. Her collection was beautifully crafted and perfectly rode line between hard and feminine. I think we will be seeing a lot more from her!
I said it last season and I'll say it again. Malorie Urbanovitch nails it. She created a collection of totally wearable, totally 2012, and totally marketable clothing.
Once again it did remind me of Alexander Wang. And I really believe that the styling & clothing for this show could have stood up next to him in New York! Its sporty, retro & NOW AVAILABLE at Coup Garment Boutique.
Way to go Malorie Urbanovitch.

My new Belt!
My new belt from Zara above (I wore it with black Current Elliot wide flare jeans & white destroyed Defenders tee) was a score I think. It was $29.00 from Zara. It really caught my eye because I was lusting over the Balmain one below from www.ssense.com for $445.00.
